Warranty Policy

BAGSFIELD products are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner. When the product is used for its intended purpose and under normal circumstances, the return to base warranty is valid.

BAGSFIELD offers a return to workshop guarantee

The customer must take their products to the designated BAGSFIELD authorized service center.

The warranty covers –

Backpack: Runners, zipper, buckle and stitching.

Luggage: Runner, Zip, Lock, Wheel, Trolley and Minor Stitch.

The warranty is voided in the following scenarios:

  • Damage due to the natural wear and tear of the product, from use, over a period of time.
  • Damage caused by misuse (such as transporting unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines, for example)
  • Replacement/repair of briefcases and suitcase divider flaps
  • Powder coating, gold plating, wood finish on locks, frames, channels and all other metal surfaces.
  • Damage such as zipper, cracks, dents and scratches on any of the components, tearing of the interior lining or any other fabric
  • Damage due to mishandling in transit by the shipping company
  • Damage to leather upholstery
  • Repairs carried out by anyone other than an authorized repairer
  • Luggage – 3 year international warranty

BAGSFIELD ensures that it performs as intended, luggage undergoes the most rigorous testing. However, indestructible luggage does not exist.

As soon as someone other than you handles your product while you are still at the airport, inspect it. When you remove your luggage from the carousel, inspect it carefully for any cracks, tears, broken handles, wheels or suitcase fragments that may have been sheared off. If your product has been damaged in transit, you should, where possible, file a claim with the shipping company, which is covered by insurance, at destination before clearing customs.

If something is not immediately obvious at the airport, it can be reported later as most airlines have a deadline for reporting damage. Before leaving the airport, it is best to report any damage.

To show where and when it was damaged, take a few photos of the object against a background that can easily be associated with an airport.

The airline’s baggage counter is usually near the carousels, so take the damaged item there. Before leaving, complete the forms required by the various airlines and obtain proof of recognition of your claim.

CARE AND CLEANING:

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LUGGAGE.

BAGSFIELD luggage is built to last and is backed by a 3 year international warranty as long as it is properly maintained.

RIGID SIDE :

Once your polycarbonate bag gets dirty from regular use, use a washcloth dipped in a very mild solution of warm water and dish soap to clean it.

Clean the entire case shell with this solution and use a regular damp cloth to wipe away any soapy residue, followed by a completely dry cloth to leave the shell clean and shiny.

Do not leave any moisture or the stain will be visible.

SOFT SIDE:

Brush surfaces, especially fabric ones, with a dry brush to loosen dust. Then use the dusting or upholstery attachment on a vacuum cleaner to extract anything loose

Take a damp cloth and, if desired, a little soap or a mild liquid cleanser, and try rubbing gently on a small, inconspicuous area on the outside of the case.

If the test is successful, wipe down the rest of the bag, changing cleaning cloths as needed. Follow with a damp cloth to remove as much soap residue as possible.

HYBRID :

If the inside of the case is lined with plastic, wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth (not the one you used on the outside) and, if necessary, a mild cleaner. For the fabric, just vacuum it or wipe it with a dry cloth.

CARE AND CLEANING:

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LUGGAGE.
You are responsible for all costs of bringing the product to such a service center, including, but not limited to, packaging, shipping and applicable taxes. The Company reserves the right to repair or replace the defective part as it deems appropriate. In case of replacement, the defective part will be replaced by another part of the same model or of an equivalent model at the discretion of the Company.

The Company or its representative(s) agree(s) to repair or replace the defective part(s) within a reasonable time and its decision as to the nature of the Problem and the applicability of the warranty is final.

In the event of a service call from outside India in a country covered by this warranty and in the event that the Company approves the replacement of the defective part, the new part shall either be collected by the user from the Company service or the Company may agree to deliver the same to the user at the address provided by him, which must be within the limits of the country from where the service call was issued.

In the event that the Company undertakes to deliver the replacement part free of charge to the user at the address provided and agreed, the user will be required to deliver the defective part at his own expense, either before or after receipt of the replacement part instead of the defective part, at the nearest service center which can be informed by the Company. Replacements are usually delivered within a reasonable time. However, our shipping estimates are not guaranteed. Actual delivery time depends on carrier and shipping distance and may vary slightly. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. All items will only be shipped to a valid address with postcodes/PIN codes.

Delivery to some remote addresses may not be possible due to the carrier’s limited reach.
The Company’s liability for damages shall be limited to the repair/replacement of the defective part only and in no event shall it exceed the price paid (after discount, if any) by the customer to the Company for the damaged part. , as indicated in the purchase invoice. Any disputes arising out of the applicability/use of this warranty card shall be subject to the jurisdiction of CHENNAI only.
